How Embroidery Creates Unexpected Friendships

 Hello everyone,
It has been quite some time since I last shared a post here. Between the creative process, the pace of daily life, and all the work that happens behind the scenes, time has a way of slipping by unnoticed. However, someone I met recently — a very talented viewer — reminded me of the joy of writing and sharing once again.

Cynthia, who followed the embroidery lessons on my YouTube channel, recreated my 3D embroidery bouquet design and kindly shared her beautiful result with me.
Since my videos primarily focus on techniques for creating 3D embroidered flowers, I did not feel the need to provide a specific pattern, color chart, or even a scale for this design. Despite that, seeing the piece completed with such success, elegance, and care surprised me and made me truly happy.

I wanted to share this lovely work with you. And through this experience, I would also like to express the happiness of having gained a valued friend through embroidery. My heartfelt thanks to Cynthia for her effort, patience, and for sharing her work with me.

When I asked Cynthia if she would like to write a few words to accompany her piece on my blog, she wrote something so sincere and touching. Although I sometimes feel I do not fully deserve such kind words, I wanted to share her message here exactly as she wrote it:
....................

My name is Cynthia.  I live in the USA abd have been an avid counted cross stitcher for 30 years or so. Rarely did I ever do embroidery.
Then I came across Ayla's videos and shorts on YouTube with her 3d flower embroidery tutorials. I was mesmerized.  I couldn't get enough, it really captivated me enough to give it a try.
While difficult and frustrating at first once I caught on it was so satisfying. Not only the way she came up with her technique but the way she puts her arrangements together, the colors she chooses, it all just had a calming effect on me. So dainty and elegant.
I had trouble in the beginning and couldn't get it to work so I reached out to Ayla with what was going wrong for me.
She graciously responded back with tips, why it happened and encouragement for me to keep trying. She said I was so close and she felt I would get there.
That sparked a new relationship and new found friend from across the world for me. She is truly such a kind, caring and gracious person and I feel a real zen with her. So very glad I ran across her videos and am able to have a connection with her and this is my result.  Give it a try, you will be so glad you did!
Thank you,
Cynthia

Of course, such kind words will never make me complacent. I will continue striving to do my very best, always keeping even the most critical feedback in mind.

Thank you, dear Cynthia, for your beautiful heart and your generous words. Although this embroidery is entirely the result of your own understanding, talent, and years of experience with needlework, your message truly meant a great deal to me.

⭐ That’s all for today. Back to my stitches. Sending you all my love and warm greetings.
